Baby Nursery – One Room Challenge Pt. 3

Welcome back to the One Room Challenge Part 3! This week I am sharing the furniture we have at this point for the Nursery. Make sure to stop by Calling it Home to see other guest participants, it has been so fun to see everyone else’s progress so far! You can also see my posts from Week 1 and Week 2.

I stopped by Pottery Barn Kids to check out cribs on whim one afternoon and they happened to be on super sale so I couldn’t help myself! There was already a discount in addition to 20% off, so any Pottery Barn love/frugal shopper knows you can’t pass this up at Pottery Barn. The crib is really good quality and heavy which we thought was important. We had looked at the Jenny Lind on in person and didn’t feel it was sturdy enough. The great thing about this crib is the conversion bed so we can eventually transition it to a toddler bed.

I was a nervous that the gray might be washed out with the wall color but I am happy with how it looks! I also picked up this crib sheet – Navy and Orange, exactly what I was looking for!

Next up was our search for a changing table. We decided we would look for a dresser to use instead, thinking long term and just put the changing pad on top of it. We love older furniture, mostly the way it looks and the quality is so much better so I went on a Craigslist hunt. I found this one a few towns away at a good price – it turns out the woman listed it way under what it really was worth, score for us!

That cute L.L. Bean bag hanging on the door was mine from when I was little, according to my Mom I carried it everywhere – they still make them and you can find on LL Bean Tote. The small is a little bigger than this one, but it still makes for a cute gift – especially with a monogram!

I just started thinking more about what is really going to go on the walls and found this at Hobby Lobby. I mentioned in my earlier posts how I didn’t want to have too much of a theme so we decided to go for an outdoor/adventure style to add as decor.

We ended up getting the chair from Babies R Us that I showed you last week and I think it will look great with the gray crib!

Hopefully next week I can show you more of the room put together and more wall art as we find it, thanks for stopping by!
