Happy Monday! This week I am sharing my recent DIY Spring Wreath I made a few weekends ago. There is no better way to dress up a front door or space than with a colorful wreath! This wreath is really easy to make and doesn’t take a lot of time, so I figured I would share! All of my supplies were bought at Jo-Ann Fabric & Craft Store.
My supplies were –
- Florist Wire
- Cloth Stem Wire
- Paper Stem Wire
- Silk Flowers
- Wire Cutters (already had)
As far as the stem wire – I only ended up using the Paper Wire. I was nervous about the paper being strong enough but it was so you probably can buy either of these to use as the base! As far as flower I wanted to use forsythia and ranunculus for pops of color.
To start use the Paper Stem Wire to create a round shape, I only had to use three of the pieces and just twisted the ends together.
From here begin to add your flowers! I added the Forsythia around to set as a base for the wreath and give it more shape. At the ends I used a small piece of the florist wire to attached it to the stem wire.
As you are adding flowers you will see spots that need to be filled in more. I trimmed each flower stem differently to add around the wreath as I saw it needed it. I only added a few ranunculus to the stop of my wreath for the pops of color. Here I wrapped the stem of the ranunculus around the wreath and use the florist wire to secure it.
Here is the final product! This took less than an hour to make and added the perfect amount of color and spring decor to our front porch.
I hope you find this project as easy as I did – there are so many options for silk flowers and wreath bases to make it look how you want to fit within your own home. Thanks for stopping by and HAPPY DIY’ing!
